Collector’s Care Guide
Collector’s Care Guide
Thank you for collecting an original artwork by Pierre Simone. Each piece is a hand-signed and dated oil on canvas, created with the highest care. To help you preserve your investment, please follow these guidelines:
1. Handling Your Artwork
-
Always handle the canvas with clean, dry hands.
-
Avoid touching the painted surface directly. Hold by the edges or keep the artwork in its protective sleeve until framing.
2. Unrolling Your Canvas
-
Artworks are shipped rolled in a protective tube.
-
Allow the canvas to rest in a clean, dry room before unrolling.
-
Unroll slowly and gently on a flat surface. Do not force the canvas flat.
-
For best results, have a professional framer handle the unrolling and stretching process.
3. Framing & Display
-
We recommend framing your artwork using acid-free materials and UV-protective glass or acrylic.
-
Stretching should always be done by a professional framer to preserve the integrity of the canvas.
-
Avoid direct sunlight, damp areas, and extreme temperatures when choosing where to hang your artwork.
4. Cleaning & Care
-
Dust lightly with a soft, dry microfiber cloth.
-
Do not use water, cleaning products, or solvents on the painted surface.
-
Never spray cleaning products near your artwork.
5. Long-Term Preservation
-
Maintain a stable indoor environment (avoid excess humidity or dryness).
-
Consider periodic professional inspections if storing the artwork for long-term investment purposes.
-
Keep your Certificate of Authenticity (COA) and provenance documents safe, as they add to the long-term value of your collection.
